Peer review policy

Revista de História da Arte does not consider previously published material. Contributions will only be published if recommended by two anonymous peer reviewers and accepted by the Editor in Chief and at least one subject area editorial board member.

All Submissions are first reviewed by the subject area editors to determine their suitability for the journal. Should submissions proceed beyond this, they will then be subject to external and anonymous review by at least two independent specialist readers. Editors will consider readers’ evaluations and make a final decision as to whether to accept a contribution for publication. Feedback from the peer review process will always be provided to the author.
